چکیده

Objective: We aimed to evaluate MEFV mutation frequency and the effects of mutations on clinical course including renal involvement in children with Henoch-Schonlein Purpura (HSP).
Methods: Children a diagnosis HSP who were evaluated for presence enrolled this study. Patients primarily assigned into two groups based as Group 1 patients without 2 at least one allele (heterozygous, homozygous, or compound heterozygous). also investigated specifically M694V by comparing not carrying mutation.
Results: Forty-seven (23 female) enrolled. rate (53%) was 3.5 times general population. most common (48%). mutations, especially those mutation, had lower incidence preceding infection, but increased inflammatory markers, scalp edema relapse rate. Renal long-term prognosis affected mutations.
Conclusions: cause susceptibility develop are associated inflammation altered course. However, mutations.
